Oooh... great subject...
although living on a farm in the middle of the flat flat Canadian prairie... I doubt I will get anything as amazing as Matt Redmayne... but I'll see what I can come up with! Now to decide if I should drive, walk or bike!! although all three will get me pretty much the same view... just different fields of wheat and canola! lol

Default Assignment: 10 Minutes From Home

I took this walking along the shore line of Lake Eufaula on a very hot, sticky day only a few blocks from the house!

Oh I can't participate this week, but will enjoy browsing the posts. I always enjoy the work displayed in the weekly assignments. (I am recovering from surgery and can't walk or drive for 10 minutes yet)

If I could walk 10 minutes I would probably make it to the river, so here is a photo of a couple walking on the flood wall. (not for the assignment).

I live on a peninsula, so I get water in most 10 minute directions I go in.
This is one of my favourite views, especially when it looks as peaceful as it did on Tuesday when I took it.
The far side is Devonport dockyard, Plymouth. I was trying to catch the mist before it burnt off, and even though it was still quite early (for me) - it had all but gone.

Default Assignment: 10 Minutes From Home

The Executive Residence, Governor Doyle residing (Wisconsin). Dodging security, cameras, and groundskeepers ate up three of my minutes, but i was able to stop for a second and take this photo before jumping the fence again.

Default Assignment: Ten Minutes From Home

Determined that 10 minutes by car was much further than planned. So I went for my evening walk, the next evening after the car ride.

A lot of flags in the neighborhood, even post 4th of July. If you've got a flag pole, however, you sometimes don't want to decide between the US flag and the Texas flag..

Default Assignment: Ten Minutes From Home

8 minutes from home and I was stopped here. I waited and then crossed to the other side. I managed to get this passable shot of an express train going through. It's not one of the more cool looking trains we have here, but it'll have to do.

Default assignment: ten minutes from home

This view is ten minutes from the house which I called home for two winters. I visited this little town of Mayrhofen again last week and it still feels like home.
