I suggest "fragility" as an assignment.

I think a "lethargy" assignment would be great. Everybody has something weighing them down and taking a picture of whatever it is that's making you drag your feet might add a little fun to that boring thing to do. "Frustration" too could be sort of similar but encompass a little more.

Default New assignment topic

I would love to see " View from my Office" as an assignment topic. I hope it has not been done here before, cause I missed it.
If you wanted to get more specific, you could set a daytime time frame for the shot..... Arriving at work, lunchtime, leave the job, etc.
Thanks for listening to the readership....

How about rooms like living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, or just homes.

OOOH!!!. I just though of something. How about taking pictures of Thanksgiving scenes. Like someone passing the gravy.

I didn't read through all the suggestions (way too many of them) so I'm sorry if this has been suggested, but what about a post-processing-only assignment.

The administrator can take a picture of some scene and post the snapshot like you usually do and supply the RAW file for download. People download the RAW, process it, then post their resulting images. There's no limit to the amount of filtering, clipping and general post-production work that could be done.

Houndogg if you scroll down to the post processing thread there is something like what you are referring to. Its call What Would You Do or WWYD as we like to call it. Members can submit photos and the rest of us get to play around with them as much as we like.....We are on number 28....we have them once a week and they come out on tuesday or wednesday. Hope that helps out a bit..this was my creation and I love playing with photoshop and there are many here that are also good at it...we just ask a little walkthrough of your workflow with the photo so we all can learn from each other.

Default Assignment suggestion

I like assignment topics that can be interpreted in different ways. How about
"The cost of living"
"Old, broken and forgotten"
"Living in a world of colour"

How about "Scale" or images that convey a sense of size.
Ex. A small insect against the backdrop of tall blades of grass.
A hiker against a vast mountain range.

Did DPS have an Assignment YELLOW already? I remember red, blue and black and white though...
