Question I need a new camera, could you recommend please?
Hello everyone,

I'm new and I'm wondering whether you could help. I'm not new to photography but I am new to powerful cameras like what many of you use. I am looking to do more freelance photography and I need a new camera. I'm looking to spend up to £450 on a camera/lens etc but I'm stuck for one that you would all recommend.

I'm hoping you can point me in the direction of the right camera and I look forward to participating in the forum activities

If I've been a bit vague, please let me know what I need to tell you.

Edit: Would you recommend getting a Nikon D80?

What do you want to shoot? That may affect things.

I'll be aiming to use it for events like weddings/birthdays but I will also be doing landscape/macro and a lot of shots in London. I know that's probably a bit vague but I hope it helps you recommend one.

I went ahead and purchased a Canon EOS 450D. Looks a great camera and I'm already planning on getting more lenses and a bigger flash. Now I can take part in more competitions here and learn
