Exclamation Help regarding flash at a distance.....

Hi all, KazeFox here.

One of my friends has a Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT and wants to link up a flash unit using a wire.......through hot-shoe or otherwise.....Does anybody know of a way that can be done, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks a lot.

Regards,
KazeFox.

Sure, he can use a off camera E-TTL cord like one of these.

hot-shoe-to-PC adapters. And if it's a long distance, I'd recommend looking for hotshoe to "household" adapters. That way, you can just use a regular power extension cord to hook the camera to the flash. Just make sure you don't plug the camera or flash into a wall socket.

Another possibility is to use radio triggers, like the Cactus V4s.
