I wonder why one forum attracts one brand over another?
Maybe the content and how members are sharing, i would share more on forums where more Canon shooters are there due to my Canon main system, if i shoot Nikon then i will try to find a forum where the most are using Nikon, so people go to where they can find more people using same as their machines, not sure if there are another reasons, i see some forums are dedicated to one or another brand.

Well, I have a Canon Rebel XSi, but I don't use it much more - mostly so that I can check exposure with my flashes to make sure I've gotten everything right. I shoot mainly with my Canon Rebel TI 35mm film camera these days.

Well my first SLR was canon mostly because it was a brand pulled out of a hat (just about), it was cheap and pretty powerful (for the time). Of course since then all my lenses and flashes and whatnot are all Canon, so jumping ship for Nikon or Sony or something isn't an option. I'm not throwing all that out and starting over again.

So no, this wasn't any fanboi rage against a brand. More just blind chance than anything.

Nikon D40 with a kit lens that I got a few years ago for $100. I wanted to see if I like digital photography. I do so I'm saving up for the D7000. I have played with Nikon and Canon and I really like Nikon.

I'm a Canon user (5D Mark II), but I really want to try out Nikon... I just hope that I don't fall in love with it too much! It would be an expensive switch... and even more expensive to use both concurrently.

I have a Nikon P&S (L5) and was given a Pentax *ist D DSLR. Once I learn on the Pentax, maybe I'll upgrade to a newer DSLR someday.

Default Mix & Match

I started out in 1966 with a Yashica 35MM TL-Super, Lens: 50MM F1.4 & 28MM F2.8.
First digital camera was a Sony ???2meg (used a floppy disk). Went to P&S- Canon SD890 IS and was so impressed with it bought a Rebel T2i kit. I may learn to photograph something one day.

Currently I am using a Sony a700 and am quite satisfied with it for what I shoot. I also have canon and nikon P&S that I use quite often when I dont want to carry a dslr. I'm not a brand snob so I could care less what name my camera holds and if you're like me I've never printed a picture over 14" so the resolution of the camera I have is more then I"ll ever use. When this one breaks we"ll have to see what looks interesting...pobably be a camera phone the way technology is advancing
