Canon ISX10 IS... not really a PRO camera, I know...

But the thing is, my country has had a currency control exchange for the past 6 years or so, we have a dual but not official currency exchange that makes buying electronics equipment IN here *extremely* expensive (a PRO camara would probably cost me 5 times more here than outside) and we can only spend 400US$ a year for online shopping.

Hence, the Canon ISX10 IS was the best I could buy online... I've had it for 6 months or so now, and I still haven't mastered it yet... so I'll wait 'til that happens to start worrying on buying a better one...

I have a Olympus E-30 that my husband bought for me this past July (2009). My past 2 Olympus were E500 and E510 and they were great as well.
With the E-30 I have decided to use more of what the camera has to offer rather than using the Auto setting. So far it's working well for me and every photo is a new lesson of the basics (ISO, Aperture, Shutter).

I do like the Arts setting. Gives a bit more fun to photographing. The camera fits wells for me and it's comfortable. The E-30 is more comfortable than my other 2 E-Volts.

Lenses are great and compact and you get a lot of zoom comparing them to other lenses that are used for other cameras. I have 50mm, 11-22mm, 12-60mm, 70-300 and 50-200mm. The 50-200mm is the only heavy one that I have. I do use a tripod or monopod when I use it.

I have a fujifilm finepix f70exr digital camera. I've only bought it recently & am already in love with it. It's the first digital camera that I bought that actually gives me some control over aperture, shutter speed, exposure, etc so I love it and am learning to use these to get great pictures.

We had also bought a canon IXUS 100is but I haven't used it as much so I don't know much about it's features but it does allow me to get closer to the subject upto 3cm but the colours are dull compared to my fujifim camera.

I have a Canon EOS 450D with a twin IS lens kit 18-55, 55-250. I looked at the Nikon D3000 and a comparable Sony model but felt that the Canon was more comfortable to hold than the others and I liked the way the information was diplayed on the LCD (although you can probably change that on the others). I don't have any other accessories yet but will eventually buy a shutter remote, tripod and maybe the Canon 50mm f/1.8 II prime lens, I hear its great value for the money.
