Default New to site, buying first DSLR

Hey guys/girls. I'm new to the site but have been lurking for a little bit. I've gotten tired of being limited by my point and shoot's ability and am ready to step up to a DSLR. Done lots of research and narrowed down a package that I'll be buying in the next month or so:

1. Nikon D90 probably with the 18-105 kit lense but I'm flirting with stepping up to the 18-200VRII instead.
2. Manfrotto 055CX3 tripod w/ RRS head.
3. Two 4gb memory cards.
4. Nikon SB-600 Speedlight flash.
5. Aperture (I'm a mac fan and it seems to be the best features/price)/ I'll add some HDR software too.
6. Nat Geo Medium backpack (we'll be taking some trips and want camera/tripod/laptop carry)
7. Spare battery.
8. Nikon 35mm or 50mm fast lense for low light and indoor.

Am I missing anything? Anything on my list not needed.

I really like shooting landscapes, nature, wildlife, architecture, weather, pets, just the typical stuff.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You're missing lots of stuff...but you won't know what you're missing until you need it
And then you won't be able to sleep til you have it but eventually you'll put it in a drawer with all the other stuff you 'needed'...all in an attempt to achieve simplicity. (insert soundtrack of Tibetan monks chanting here)

Since you like shooting landscapes and nature you might want to look at getting some ND (neutral density) and GND (graduated neutral density) filters.

Hmmm, this sounds exactly like every other hobby I have....no wonder I'm going to have to work until I'm 80.

Well, got my stuff. I ended up buying local and only paying $50 more than at B&H not including the tax I had to pay. But they threw in a Nikon video and you get a 2hr class with your camera purchase so I felt good all around about buying local.

Ended up with: D90, SB-400, 35mm-1.8 and the 18-200VR. Ordered my tripod/head from RRS and it will be here next weekend.

I'm excited and can't wait to really learn my equipment and get the most out of it.
