Default What digital cameras don't have that stupid delay?

I have a great (big) old Sony digital camera that takes floppy's and not memory cards but the best thing is there is no delay when taking pics. I have bought numberous new cameras, including Sony Cybershot and get driven mad as my 2yr old runs off before picture is taken. Do any new cameras have no delay? Why does it do this when my previous didn't?IT Staffing

Generally you have to get into the dslr type cameras to be rid of the delay. BUT, if you don't mind spending a lot of money on a camera there are a few in the 4/3rds format or one of the new Nikon 1 cameras or a Leica M-9 or a Fuji X-100.

The new Sony NEX bodies (7 and 5n) are supposed to have fastest shutter response out of any of the mirrorless systems.

Canon G series - G9, G10,G11 or G12. Look for used earlier versions to save some money. Excellent P&S camera and they produce pro quality work in a pinch...
