Default Tough waterproof camera!?!

Hey there.
I know this has been asked before, but technology changes quickly and I'd like some current advice

I'm looking for a tough little point and shoot. Something I can take travelling and treat with a lot less respect than my beloved dslr.
I'm after a waterproof camera which can stand up to some harsh weather, ocean, sand, dirt, snow, falls, bumps, crashes, nuclear explosions etc...
Okay, maybe not to that extreme. But something that will stand up to a bit of mistreatment and keep on working.

I'm not after anything fancy. But image quality is important to me, as is durability.

Price range?? Not sure, I don't want to limit my options... but hopefully around the $300 mark, give or take.

Thanking you all !

The Pentax W90 or WG-1 fit the bill, check them out

Awesome review there, very informative! Thanks.

I'm tossing up between the Pentax WG-1 and the Lumix DMC-TS3. Both appear to cost about the same price.
The Lumix was the overall winner in the dpreview, but for some reason I still like the Pentax. It looks a little more rugged.
Comparing the video quality though I think the Lumix has to be the smarter choice.

decisions decisions

Thanks for the input

I'd go with the Panasonic, but if you like the Pentax better -
that's nothing to ignore. Liking a camera is an important factor.

Could someone please clarify this for me!

Is there any difference between the Panasonic Lumix:
DMC-TS3
DMC-FT3

??

Thanks.

Different names for different markets. Like how a Canon T3i is also known as the Canon 600D.
