Question Nikon D3000 vs Sony A390Y vs Canon EOS 1000D as first DSLR

I currently have a Fujifilm Finepix S2800HD and wanted to upgrade to a DSLR. I have three options:

I can either get:

Nikon D3000 + 18-55mm VR + 55-200mm VR for 509€
or:

Sony DSLR-A390Y + DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 + DT 55-200mm F4-5.6 SAM for 559€ (discount of 90€)

or:

Canon EOS 1000D + EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 + EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III for 499€ (not sure its initial price)

Which one is the best for a beginner?
Since the cameras are on discount with those lenses do you think I should get with the lenses or just the kit lens?

Thanks in advance,

Pedro

Moving to a dSLR from a P&S is not a straightforward upgrade.

Secondly, get the lens if you need the lens. If you don't know what the lens does, then you should probably learn about lenses, too.

The camera bodies are all good: they have great features, terrific image quality and are going to do well for you, no matter your expertise level. But what you have to understand is that when you go to SLR, you're buying into a camera system, not just a camera. Each brand differs in the equipment that they offer. Nikon's entry-level cameras won't autofocus unless the lens has AF-S in it. Canon does better with mid-range telephotos, but isn't quite as good as Nikon on flash. Sony has fewer lens options and uses a proprietary flash hotshoe. Whether any of this matters to you depends on what and how you want to shoot.

Just understand that the camera body is likely to be the most disposable piece of gear in the system. Your lenses are likely going to last you longer.

Instead of a D3000, look at a D3100 instead.
