Sweet! I knew the Canon 5DMkII was way, way, way over-rated! A Nikon 3100 is just as good!!

Rubbish. You cant compare $5000+ Full-frame pro bodies to entry-level ones. That's not how it works.

Seems like they value low light shooting ability more than else (and possibly cost) - the d3x certainly has some of the nicest black level handling i've seen - and if we are going to compare pro cameras to entry - where are the Medium format Dslr's? like the Pentax 645D and Leica S2.

I agree, this list is silly - I don't think it should be used to determine what camera to get.

Why not? Can you compare FF Pro bodies to APS-C Pro bodies? Of course. Can you compare APS-C Pro Bodies to APS-C consumer bodies? Of course. So, logically, you can compare FF Pro bodies to APS-C consumer bodies.

And remember, its not the camera, its the person behind the camera. Most modern DSLRs will be nearly equal in the hands of a pro. Unless you think, for some reason, the amount of money the camera costs equates to better photographs...

how about comparing some of the other brands out there, Canon and Nikon aren't the be all and end all. Sony make some cracking cameras, as do Pentax and Leica

Pentax took the number 2 and 3 spot on the list. Sony is crap. And I don't think Leica makes any DSLRs

Bull$#!7.

Yes, you can compare FF pro bodies to APS-C pro bodies. However, if you do, you'll quickly realize how much better FF image quality is. And then again, comparing a pro APS-C body to a consumer or entry-level APS-C is flawed: the main differentiation points there aren't image quality (especially with Canon at the moment) but with features and ergonomics: There's a reason Canon makes a 7D even if it gives the exact same images as a T3i, and it isn't for giggles.

Camera costs do not correlate directly to better photographs, but it's generally a pretty good indicator of image quality/functions/features/ergonomics.

The simple fact that all the items on the list are almost all 5-Star rated means that their rating system needs a kick in the ass.

IMO it's just a problem with generating "ratings" period.
It looks like they were going for an "overall" features/price rating.....But that really doesn't work for anyone.
For example, I'll be buying a new camera soon. Currently at the top of my list are the D3s and the D7000. Two very different cameras and for different reasons (and because I can't currently justify considering the D3x).

maybe by better, you mean different? There certainly is a difference in FOV and such, but...better? I think the dxo sensor tests have a different opinion there.
