Hi Folks,
This is my first post here and require help in choosing the Lens, I am not a Pro, just a casual Photographer. I have Nikon D3100 Body along with 18-55 VR. I am looking for Telephoto lens(cheap & best) which I'll use for Landscapes+Macro and sometime street photography. Could you guys please suggest me some Nikon/Sigma lens, budget is around or less than $500, not more than that.. Any help will really appreciate. Thanks.............. Sandeep |

What do you say/suggest about 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS and NIKON AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED.
In price these are higher off course but if we compare the features of both the lenses with Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG Macro, which will be good value of money? |

if you're looking for a good telephoto lens for Nikon, the 70-300 VR is an exceptional choice.

Yeah, i messed a little. I think my kit lens 18-55 VR will be more than enough for Landscape Photos. Now I think, after reading the Budget Lens thread that i should buy both the mentioned lens as a starter. 1. Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 for Portrait Photos 2. Sigma 70-300mmf/4-5.6 Macro APO DG for Macro Photos Both are cheap enough and have nice review. Need your positive nod ,
