Im thinking to get my first dslr when i can afford it, my budget is super tight. Im thinking of D3100 or 1100D.

D3100 - Has no AF Motor, lenses may cost more.
1100D - Heard has a lousy grip , no spot metering.

Which one do you think I should get? And why . :P

Thanks in advance

why not get one with an auto focus motor built in, great ergonomics, has spot metering, has cheap vibration-dampened lenses, and doesn't break the bank?

intrigued?

I think the lenses being small is a positive attribute.

And similar quality of lenses should be compared. You have to pay a lot more with Nikon or Canon for similar quality lenses.

Additionally, one of the first lenses everyone suggests is a 28, 30, 35, or 50mm prime.

If you consider only Pentax lenses that all work with Shake Reduction, the options are:

28mm to 55mm Primes available from Pentax now:
• SMC Pentax-FA 31mm F1.8 AL Limited - $1000 new / 800 used
• SMC Pentax-FA 35mm F2 AL - $475 new / 320 used
• SMC Pentax-DA 35mm F2.4 AL - $200 new / ?
• SMC Pentax-DA 35mm F2.8 Limited Macro - $540 new / 450 used
• SMC Pentax-DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited - $500 new / 400 used
• SMC Pentax-FA 43mm f/1.9 Limited - $750 new / 500 used

• SMC Pentax-D FA 50mm f/2.8 Macro - $550 new / 325 used
• SMC Pentax-DA* 55mm f/1.4 SDM - $650 new / 550 used

I didnt mean physical size: I meant selection. Your list is extensive, but that's including legacy glass. I could find an equally daunting list for Nikon as well.
