Bryan Peterson's Understanding Exposure. I didn't take my pictures shooting JPEG and stuck in green box auto. That power line tower one is deliberately underexposed by two stops. Also, I used Lightroom, which is a $200 piece of software. You may want to start googling up something like the Gimp.

But that's not the end of it, is it?
Now I need accessories, like maybe the little handgrip and filters from Lensmate. How about a bag to carry it in? Tell me what I need.?
This is just my opinion, but the less gear you can get away with a P&S camera, the better. I bought a lensmate and a bunch of other stuff for my G9, and I ended up mostly not using any of the stuff that couldn't be shared with a dSLR. The problem with filters and the S90/S95 is that you essentially have to glue the mount onto the front of a relatively delicate lens assembly. I don't like that.

A P&S's virtue is that it's always small and with you. To me, the only accessories you'll really need with an S90 or S95 are extra cards and batteries and a case (ok, maybe a card reader and post processing software, too). Here's an 11-page POTN thread dedicated to cases for the S90. I got mine at Target.

I'd only go after the third party grip stuff if you actively find the camera uncomfortable. That's just me, though. I have tiny girl hands.
