G'day Broadwillie,

That's easy... the one you can't afford.

Just google "compare Sony NEX 3K and Sony NEX 3A... " and get: Compare Sony NEX-3 vs NEX-5 Digital Camera Difference Review Korea Tech BLog

Cheers,

John W

There's no such thing as a "NEX 3K" or "NEX 3A". Usually the letter refers to the colour of the body: K is likely black, A could be just about anything.

I will suggest you to buy Sony NEX 3K because it has better image quality and specifications and I am also using it for the last three months...

There's no such thing. What are you talking about?

Sorry, I have to point out that none of the NEX range are DSLRs, they are compact systems. the DSLRs are the DSLR-A range like the a330 and a500, and there is also the SLT-A range like the a33 and a55.

That said, from the spec sites i have looked at, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference. But dont believe everything on the internet, go and talk to your local sony camera retailer

Do you read the links you find?

NEX-3K/B | α NEX-3 with 18-55mm Lens | Sony | Sony Style USA

NEX-3A/B | α NEX-3 with 16mm Lens | Sony | Sony Style USA

They're the same camera: The lens is the difference. The K-kit comes with a zoom, the A kit with a prime. THey're the EXACT SAME ITEM, just as a different kit lens.

The image quality is exactly the same from the camera: what changes is the lens. In this respect, the choice of one of another depends greatly on what you're going to do with it.

Default Sony Alpha Nex-5

I've had the Sony NEX-5 for a little over a week now. I have it with both the 18-55mm and the 16mm. I chose the black body which I think contrasts well with the silver lens. I prefer the 16mm because it has a nice 2.8 aperture which gives me better low light performance.

Sony equips the NEX-5 with a CMOS image sensor APS-C size of the move as many cameras. At a size of 23.4 x 15.6 millimeters, the chip delivers a resolution of 14.2 megapixels.

The camera is fantastic. It feels solid in your hand and the sound of the shutter and vibration of the camera make you want to shoot photos with it. Overall build quality is great.
