Default Need some assistance:)

Greetings to all,

I'm new to this site and I recently got back into digital photography (I was a sports photographer in high school). I purchased a decent superzoom point and shoot (Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-100) but I want to get back into serious photography like I used to. I was considering a good mid range dslr like the Nikon D7000 or the Canon 7D. I've even looked at the Sony A55.

I love all kinds of photography but I plan on concentrating on landscape photography and action photography like sporting events, graduation ceremonies etc.

I wanted to post this to just get some advice on what would be a good suggestion. I've looked up numerous reviews from many photographers and I'm still having a hard time to decide. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome.
I don't think you can go wrong with either the Canon or the Nikon. Pretty much go and get ahold of each one and see how they feel, twist the knobs and all and see what feels best. Really. Either of those will perform great, it comes down to ergonomics.

I favor Canon, but Nikon is a fine product. Check them both out.
