Has Samsung finally been paying attention?
An announcement at CES has revealed some new lenses that has finally given me the lens lineup i've been looking for in a mirrorless system. Not to replace my SLR, mind you, but as a second system. The goal was to have a 24/50/105 (in 35mm equivalent) prime set, preferably small and light. Samsung now has a 16mm f/2.8 (24mm equiv), 30mm f/2 (45mm equiv) and 85mm f/1.8 (130 equiv). They're all fairly small (the 16 and 30 are less than 1/2" thick!) and, when mounted to the NX100, are still a small system. Now if only I had money to spare...

I really like the look of the NX system. I'd much rather have compact primes with a mirrorless camera than semi-compact zoom lenses. I haven't heard about the 16mm or 85mm lenses yet, though. Is there a link where we could check them out?

Photorumors have articles on the new lenses, though I cant seem to find them anymore. These have been on the Samsung Roadmap for quite some time, but we're finally seeing them come out.

They've finally put some dates on the releases.
Samsung announces five NX camera system lenses: Digital Photography Review And here I was about to add another lens to my Nikon system. Now I may just stick it in the future NX system fund. Hmmm.
