Can anyone help me pick out a camera for my seven year old? I want a real camera not a "kid" one. I would like to spend around a hundred. I'm looking for something that comes in colors, does fairly decent video (for me to use too), and is fairly durable. Can someone point me in right direction?

I bought one for my 7 year old - it was a canon A series, it was a hundred and something and he LOVES it. Just the other day, he said mom, lets have a photoshoot, the light is sooo beautiful! I'll post those pics when I get a chance.

I'd look for one of the cameras that is in a brand's "tough" range. For example, the Olympus Tough range, or Panasonic makes one too I know. I'm honestly sure there are a few more out there I just can't think of them off the top of my head. If you're lucky you might be able to find one of the older models of the Olympus ones cheap (they seem to replace those ones about once a year with newer models).
