Well, here goes.
I'm looking to buy a DSLR within the next week. Up until this point I've been using my father's Olympus e-510. I can't say it's the worst thing I've ever used, but I'm ready to put the money into a camera of my own (and since I work at Best Buy, I get a pretty decent discount -- and maybe even accommodations). Sooo, I've been looking into a few different cameras. Of course, I'm really liking the Nikon D5000 -- I'm a big fan of Nikon. However, recently another camera has caught my eye. The Sony NEX-3 basically captured my attention because of it's small size. It's like having a DSLR without all of the bulk (similar to the Olympus PEN, mirco 4/3). However, due to the fact that it's a Sony, it probably means that there isn't going to be a great selection of lens down the road. Does anyone else have experience with this camera, what do you think about it, ect...? I'm really liking the size, basically because when I'm out taking pictures, I'm constantly walking around -- however, I don't want to sell myself short. Also, I'm a sucker for Sony's sweep panorama feature. =P So what are your thoughts about this camera? |
