Question Your opinion on the best budget camera?

Hi all
What is your opinion on the lowest cost, but fairly good, hardy brand and model DSLR camera , that would also be a good good fit for a number of lens?

Thanks

They are all good.
You really can't go wrong with any of them for non professional use.

Arguably Nikon & Canon have the greatest range of lenses available.
However some of the entry level Nikons will not autofocus with all lenses.

Some of them have weather sealing and metal bodies, however they are not lowest cost except for some Pentaxes, which are very good value for money.

Your question is a bit broad to nail specific models down.

What is your budget for the camera and a "general purpose" lens.
What is your total budget if you are considering extra lenses.
What and where do you want to shoot, and in what conditions?

Also keep in mind the "best" is what feels good in your hands and how it looks through the viewfinder to you.
