I need Help :D

Hi people,

I am new here and actually also new to the photography world. I need some advice on the type of camera I should get. I am going back to college in August and I wanted to get a camera. I have a Kodak Easy-share C813 which is like 3 years old. I don't really know anything about cameras. :P I just want a camera that take really nice pictures for about $200-$300. If any of you guys have suggest it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have been looking at the Nikon s8000 its looks like a nice camera.

I think I am going to get the Canon PowerShot SD3500.
