Unhappy Need advice for upgrade!!!
Going for an upgrade to DSLR, can anyone advice me to decide between, Canon Rebel XS/1000D, Nikon D3000, Pentax K-X, Canon 450d.

I think the Pentax K-x is the best value in this price range right now. It easily beats the Nikon D3000 in pretty much every way. And Pentax is a good system.

But it's hard to give much advice in a vacuum. What are you upgrading from, and what are you looking for?

I'd say go straight to D50/D90 -- not sure of equivalence to the other brands.... why I say this? Isn't the pricing for 1000D the same or close to the D50/90 range?

But I guess the first questions are;

What's your budget and what's your shooting style or what do you intend you get out of the camera?
