So I am pretty new to Photography...well....actually I am completely new to Photography and know absolutely nothing about cameras except that you take pictures with them. I do however have some Photoshop knowledge.
Anyways, I was wondering from a experienced point of view what the best camera to buy for beginners! Hope you guys can help! |

There are the two major players: Canon and Nikon. You could also consider Pentax, Olympus and Sony.
Depending on what youre looking for from a camera in terms of features, you may be better off with one or another. The big thing, though, is that when you buy an SLR you're buying into a SYSTEM of dSLR cameras. If you want to do flash work with multiple flashes, then Nikon may be best, but if you're doing video with your dSLR, then the Canon bodies may be better. Of course, if you've got pre-existing equipment (old lenses), you may be swayed one way or another. If you can tell us what you plan on shooting, we can likely help a bit more. As it stands, find a GOOD camera shop and go and try them.
