I'm looking for a camera to take landscape photos and wildlife photos with. The end results I would like to post online in good quality and print on A4.
I don't know if I need a DSLR or not. Basically if the camera can do the above I'm happy. All recommendations welcome. I have a budget of £500 or lower.

A DSLR would be good, but 500 pounds is a pretty small budget. What you want is probably a low-end DSLR, and then start saving up for a nicer lens. The good thing is that, while you're saving up, you will have plenty of time to learn your camera, and get better at composition.
You could look at a Nikon D40 or D3000. There are plenty of similar Canons, but I'm not as familiar with them. But, overall, remember -- it's not the equipment, it's you!
