Default tilted shot

does this tilt work for you or not? I thought it created some interesting angles but what do I know I'm new here and hoping to learn and hone my skills.

Thanks

I think the angle is really good but I would rather see more of both tires than the tilt. That's just my opinion.

I agree with the tire comment but the engine hoist is definatly distracting. Since the Jeep is the main focal point.
I like the interesting low vantage point however.

The tilt in this pic doesn't work for me. I'm still trying to figure out some general rules for tilting, so I'm not really sure why it deosn't work.

I have formed one theory based on a composition tip I read, but it is still untested. The tip pointed out that Westerners are used to viewing a page from left to right, so for a more compelling photo, you should try to have the eye enter from the left. Considering that tip and the fact that diagonal lines tend to lead the eye, my theory is that tilts in the other direction should work better,

I agree that both tyres should have an equal show. Try & get one of the diagonal lines i.e the projection of the line to intersect the opposite corners - remembering that changing the format via a crop might work.

Now that you mention it I didn't even think of that when I took the shot. It woud definantly help to balance it. Thank you

untilted

I sharpened and added some contrast. I tried to get the tires to match but that required un-tilting the shot.

how can I eliminate the bright white lights with out killing the entire photo?

I don't have any photography advice, but I would like to add that you have a nice JEEP. I have sort of abandoned building mine right now. Just wanted to say hey to a fellow jeeper.
