Default Traveling through the wet world

Traveling through the wet world

Today the weather was absolutely great in our part of The Netherlands. Loads of rain, it was really pouring in a the-sky-gets-green kind of way. It must be one of my favourite types of weather to photograph in!

About the composition: usually I prefer my horizons to be straight. However in this case I like the slight slant, I think it adds a sense of speed to the photo - which is good, since it was taken with about 100 km/h. What do you think?

I looked at your photo before reading your question, and I honestly didn't notice the slant. (I normally notice these things pretty quickly.) And now that I've noticed the slant, I think you made the right choice in keeping it.

Well done and unique.

I am NO expert by ANY means but I really like this shot!
I am not really sure the details or technical jargon but it really sets a mood.

I do notice the slant but it looks like its that way on purpose... it works well with the curve in the road that is fast approaching. I like also how you can't tell what TYPE of vehicle is in front of you... it gives it a timeless feel.

I am very new to photography and am just starting to learn the rules and ropes BUT I really like this shot

It's a good example, at least to me, when a slant works with an image. It adds to the sort of 'surreal' feeling I get from the photo. I like the overall look and the composition. Nice job!

Very good shot!

I agree - the slant is an integral part of that photo and it adds to the whole. I like it a lot

I feel the slant makes for some of the beauty though without the photograph is cool.

Hey! Someone else who lives in Amsterdam. First thing I noticed about this picture is how familiar it is. I love the composition of how little cars there are on the road and the roughness of the picture.
