Default final exam- do they all match?

So, I've got this final for my pht class. I am struggling because the portraits all have to be related.

So, I just want to know if you guys think I succeeded in creating some sort of theme.

Thanks!
Ali

I think the goofy white kid kills my theme. I have 4 more pictures, but I can only do 4 at a time.

I suspect without the other four I'm not going to pick up what the theme is - sorry. I don't see it emerging from the four you've posted unless you were going for headwear and 'goofy' white guy is broke?

To me it seems like some sort of head gear worn. And I do think the 3rd guy is out of the sequence. Can you reoder them and have the 3rd guy as the 4th image. It would then be a nice funny ending. Last image: "No Head Gear at all"

Oh- sorry- the theme is meant to be urban/street looking people. I was going to do a study of the homeless, but I felt it was exploitative.

Would it help if they were all more uniform in colour? All monchrome, or all colour? It might help to unify them as a set?

The last two are both at jaunty angles, and the first two are more tightly cropped on the face, are the others in the set falling into one of the two types?

I'm no expert on any of this, but either having a similar colour scheme or angle might help with a theme?

Yea, sorry, I've got to say I don't really see a real theme - other than they're all male.

You say you started with a study of the homeless but then changed, and now I find the homeless gentleman stands out - feels out of place.

Can you link us to the rest of the set? It might be easier to spot the theme from the whole collection.
