Default Mirror as a Picture Frame

I join a local photo group to improve my skills. Last month's assignment was "Mirrors". I decided to use a mirror to take photo that would have image in the mirror look like a picture frame. I think I should have knelt down more in this particular shot. I also didn't think to shoot at the mirror in landscape position. I like the shot but I think that my composition is a little static or boring. Any other suggestions.

Mirror as Picture Frame

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/400)
Aperture: f/7.1
Focal Length: 55 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

Default Thanks

Thanks everyone. I frequent this spot to shoot. I think I'll try some other angles and some other positions and see what happens!

The shadow in the frame by the geese is distracting. I'd watch out for that. Otherwise I think it's pretty neat!

Default My shadow

That's my shadow in the mirror. I didn't notice it until I got home. I had hard time picking the right angle and waiting for the birds to enter the field of view.

I think it might be cool to use the rule of thirds for the placement of the mirror as well as the composition of the subject in the mirror.

Default Rule of Thirds

That's a good idea. I have a number of pictures and I will play around with different crops.
