Default Help w/Children's Feet Photo

I would like to take a picture of my 6 childrens feet.
They are 10 years-4 months.

What would be the best way to get this shot? I want the shot to have them all, not just one child at a time. I cannot figure out how to get the shot:
1. The baby is alot smaller, thus feet don't line up if they dangle off something.
2. I do not want them flat on the ground.
3. I want to be as close as possible.
4. I don't want to crop it too weird.

I am brand new to all this, so thanks for any help!

Look at this website - they are stock images of feet...

http://www.acclaimimages.com/search_terms/feet.html It might help you with your idea. I don't think anyone has as many pairs of feet that you desire BUT, it should help with your poses...

Default Here's How I'd Attempt it

Here's to approaches I'd try which I think would work:

1 - Arrange the kids in age descending order. Use a prop such as a yard stick to get their feet in a horizontal line. Once lined up remove the prop and tell the kids to pretend they are frozen so they can't move. Set your camera on the floor a few feet back from their feet, take the picture.

2 - Arrange the kids in a semi-circle with older kids on outside and younger on the inside. Shoot low again and you should be able to get all of the kids and their feet.

Good luck!

Can't you have them all lined up with their feet at the edge of a bed? Bottom-of-the-feet shots like that seem to be popular in advertising, etc (like this and also like this). You could even try them in a rainbow of socks etc in addition to bare...? Or maybe something like this: circle of feet

What about having them lie down on the floor in a circle with their feet touching? You can shoot from above, standing close to the youngest one (i know you you said 4 months you have to be very careful).

And if you are successful, then try a shot the circle of feet is off centered, will make an interesting composition.
