I think I like the first one better, the silhouette is darker. But GREAT shot either way!

I like the first one... The Boy frames out half the photo and you can concentrate on him because he is as far as you go in the first third of the picture.
In the second there is too much to look at... Good shots |

I like the silhouette and colors of the first one better as well. However, I like the composition of the second one the best. The boy has a sense of isolation standing on that little island than in the first one. He doesn't look as crowded against the edge of the frame as he does in the first shot. Plus, the lamps on the water form a nice curve that passes from the lower left of the frame and just behind him through the frame to the upper right. The lamps better define the edge of the pond as well. A little tweaking could bring the colors and silhouette of the second one closer to what we see in the first shot.
That said, good captures. It looks like it was one of those fleeting moments and you got it.
