The first crop definitely has a tad bit more of impact than the second one. In the 2nd crop the butterfly and the hand take too much of the attention, and distracts you from the whole "scene". Either way, it's a really good shot. Nice job.

I agree. In the first picture the focus seems to be on the eye before the viewers focus drifts to the butterfly. In the second photo my eyes go straight to see what the hand is holding. I guess which one you pick depends on what you really want the focus on but both are cool shots IMO

Personally prefer the first crop. The second is still a good photo but the hand distracts the eye.

yea the first image is the better one in my eyes. i once read somewhere one here, that placing the main subject in the center of the photo, in most case kills the photo.. but not always. but yea. in this case it didn't have any special impact, great work

The first one would make a sweet avatar... The second looks like the cover of a VHS.. haha.. I can't decide which one looks better.
