Default Explain how to get this result plz

500px / Photo "Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder" by Oskar Bakke

So the EXIF says a 15 second exposure so you KNOW the car was not moving, does that mean the blur/motion effects are all PP? I mean, i HAS to be doesn't it?

It's a rig. The camera is mounted to a metal rig that is suction-cupped to the car. The rig is removed in post production. In this case, 15s is appropriate.

Correct. The motion blur is real. The only thing done in post other than whatever they did to enhance, is the removal of the rig arm.

No, it's not ALL PP. The effect of motion blur is real, the only post processing done was to remove the rig. That's not "all PP", its a very small amount.

I think i pretty clearly said that the PP was not for the blur....

Anytime in my mind your removing something form the frame that's a lot of PP, a little PP is levels in my book, but that's just me and like i said i haven;t done much if any by your standards.

My point being, the entire shot is ruined without PP to remove the rig, without the PP its not even noteworthy... my again, thats just me...

You explained that you understood that the blur wasnt PP, but seemed to indicate that you didnt understand how the rest of it worked.

Removing the rig wouldnt, in my mind, constitute "a lot" of work. It wouldnt to a lot of people either.

I suppose its just intimidating to me because i have never had to do work like that or really tried any PP in any way so for me it seems like alot. I plan to grab GIMP soon, I'm a little apprehensive, but I'm gonna give it a solid shot. My buddy has a go pro hero so who knows i may try my own little version of this shot with some of his mounts. Does one BUY a rig like what was used or do you have to fabricate it yourself from scratch?

I suppose a remote trigger is also needed, and a really stead hand at driving.

Thanks for the explanations.

You can buy them, but most people end up customizing their own.
