Issue with Colour composition??

Hi all

I took a photo with my Nikon D3000 (kit lens) and the sky turned out blue. It was actually a night shot and the sky was black but there was a night road light.

Is this the reason it turned out blue or does it mean my camera colour settings are wrong?

How am i to know if I have the right settings in everything in my camera???

A long exposure will yield a blue sky...what was the shutter speed for the shot?

Believe it or not, the sky IS blue, even at night. When you expose for a longer period of time, you actually see it because the light builds up.
