here's a link to some engagements i did a few weeks ago-- just some ideas. I know they aren't awesome, but the couple was very pleased.

I would look online for some ideas, but as everyone has said the more "photojournalistic" approach of candid true moments is probably your best bet as opposed to a posed "we're so cheesy" type of shot. best of luck!

I agree with SLforster...it makes sense but never thought of it....
THe best emotion shots are when you are almost sneaking the pic....when the two subjects do not even seem to acknowledge your presence it seems they make the best emotional photos.....
Glad you said that SL I never really thought about it.....but now I'll look for these moments to snap the shots!

Try not to tell them what to do. tell them instead to just talk to each other - and try to take photos like that .

I am a true believer of the "Candid" shot. Although posing is good in some circumstances. Here is a photo I did recently of a couple celebrating their 5 year anniversary. I believe it shows True Love!

Sarah N - Good photos - loved the feel in them - liked the last one better

Jsqrd34 - awesome - cant say a word

slforster - words defy me - you should enter that in a contest.

Carly Carlson - great job - like dthe first one

Julia

I guess you might have recevied a lot of tips seeing these photo.

Unless like in Jsqrd's shot if the love does not show in the eyes - then you should be thinking about some romantic background to kind of force the love (pardon the words)

May be both of them sitting in a romantic position on a floor covered with rose petals or sharing a drink using two straws ( wonderful if straw is shapd like a heart)

Cheers

hummmm, how represent a feeling in a photo ?

I have some suggestions. they could bu true or not

Two people in love:
"what the world thinks doesn't have any importance" - be carefull with distracting elements. Maybe the two persons
seeting in a garden (it could be in the grass) with no surrounding elements ( no trees, no people, no buldings... only
the people in love)
"... to eternity" - maybe the picture shoule be made at sunset.

It's hard to represent love itself but you can pick some of this "features" to capture a love moment.

It's like trying to represent surf in a picture. So, from the point of view of a surfer, what is surf ?
"the searching of the perfect wave ? "
"only me and the ocean"
... and so on.
Try to getter all this features and you maybe have a good surfing picture.

hope it helps

I personally think the clowning couple captures love, but from some of my threads, I see this view is not universally held

I will be going to Colorado to shoot my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. I plan on taking shots from distance and see if I can get some connections when I am not real close. I expect that people in love will touch and react with love when they are alone. Then go on and see what else I can get while they interact. I don't want them to pose because they will look at the shots and remember that they were posing. Natural and take a massive amount of shots. MASSIVE!
