I'd say an external flash...I need to build my equipment up a lot, but you seem to have some great lenses

The Canon 28-135 is a great lens. Not the same as the "L" series but still great.
I'd go for a flash or a tripod. Or depending on what you want to shoot, maybe a fast prime (50mm f/1.4 or 85mm f/1.8) for portraits; an ultra-wide or a super telephoto. Perhaps a macro lens if that's your fancy. It really depends on what you want to do. Figure that out first then pick the gear. Cheers! |

If you aren't lusting for anything, you don't need anything. Save up your money until you have a need or you'll end up with an assortment of gear that doesn't at all support your preferred shooting style.

geli makes a good point here in that if you are not lacking anything in your curret gear dont get something just to have something new. that being said another good point was brought up about getting an off camera flash. It is the cheapest thing you can do to get better photos.

I think Geli's comment is correct. The first question you need to answer is what type of photo's do you want to take, this will guide the type of equipment you will need (rather than 'lust' for
). Suggestions of flash, tripod etc are good - all generally required standard equipment. Lenses, however are generally the most expensive additions, and should be considered in context of what you want to do. If it's landscape, a good wide angle helps, if it's portrait a good 50mm or 100 mm lens helps. Sports shots then a good fast telephoto (or zoom telephoto). Then you have macro photography where a ring flash could be added, with specific Macro lens and electronic shutter release. So my ten cents worth is have an idea of what you like taking pictures of and work from there. As many have mentioned, you can quite quickly end up with a very expensive equipment inventory that you don't use very often (Like many of us I'm sure )
