There is a supermoon tonight. It will rise before the sun sets today and will set a few minutes before the sun rises tomorrow morning. What would be a creative way to capture this moon and kind of mark the event?
I have no problem getting a sharp moon shot, so that is not the issue. I'm more interested in options with composition. Also, how does everyone feel about bracketed shots of the moon in order to expose some foreground detail? Does it look too fake in most cases? There seems to be a hard to define line between enhancing photos at your desk and committing visual fraud. lol

I dunno, but I am hoping it stays clear tonight. There is a bay accross from my house to the east, I am hoping to get a shot of it rising just over the tops of the housings while it is large and dominate in the background looking over the bay.

So, you are going for a daylight type shot across the bay?
There is an island about 20 minutes from my house. I can walk out on a little peninsula there then get the moon in the east and turn around to catch the sun set in the west. Only problem is that there is nothing but sand and water in the foreground. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........
