Default Toes in the rockpool

Toes in rockpool

Earlier this year, I posted a similar titled photo called "Toes in the River". Here is another attempt at the same subject matter, this time in a rockpool...with thongs on!
Please comment on the composition, as that was one of the main points of discussion last time. The colour and focus is much clearer than the other photo (I am also using my new dSLR - which I am just LOVING!! Is addiction a sin???)

Love your brown flops !!! I like the idea- I think maybe if you only were to get the feet without the pants and lower leg in the pic you may like it better. The pants are a little distracting.

Thanks, I like my flip-flops (thongs, here in Aussie!) too.
Is this more what you were thinking? I chose the other one over this one cos' of the pants- I kinda liked the pants. But I can see what you mean by distracting.

I love the cropped picture... it brings the focus straight to the feet... nice

I agree with the cropping. In terms of what your main subject is, I would compose the shot to capture that (your feet). If it's the right foot only, then just seeing that in the shot. If it's both feet, then having both of them in the water might be best.

Thumbs up

I love the cropped image as well. My eye was very distracted by your pant leg on the left side.

What a fun idea to photograph toes in water!

I agree with the majority so far, and prefer the cropped. To me, the cropped picture is relaxing, while the picture including the pants seems busy. Strange how such a little thing can change so much.
