Where they on a piece of paper that curved up in the background? It creates an odd perspective effect. I think the layout would be better if the biscuits were closer together and the depth of field was deep enough to get more of them sharply focused. I also wonder if the subject would be better served by a background that gives them a bit of context - for example, dropped on a plate rather than displayed on paper?

I would also play with stacking a little bit - it might give them a little depth. For example, here's an experimental shot I took:
