I have never thought of such an idea before, but I bet it would be really neat for a person's alphabet bracelet to show in the shot.

As a total newbie I have to ask, would focus be a problem or would you be able to see the letters and the person clearly?

I can't get a DSLR, but I love photography and long to learn to understand camera settings and how to take the best shots I can. I've been reading on this site for weeks. I welcome any and all suggestions on how to get creative with a point and shoot.

Default Hmmm.....

It is an intriguing concept....

I think it is possible, I will have to ask my "Pro" friend later. But as long as its (the bracelet) not too far from the focal point (your face or whatever), I dont see what the problem would be. May need to do a little post-processing tho to sharpen up the bracelet area.

What about this idea? A double portrait with ONLY the bracelet in clear focus... Such as your arms around someone and the one clear thing that pops out is a message on your wrist. What do you all think? (Kinda like the original concept, just expanded)

That's a pretty cool idea! I never thought about doing that before. That might look pretty neat.
