These rock stairs are located in Zion National Park. I thought they looked really cool, but the photo I took of them just didn't make them stand out enough. I'm looking for suggestions on how you might have composed the shot to get the stairs to stand out better.

The taller formation in the background really steals the show in these photos. To get the stairs to stand out a little more, I would have included less of the background.
It looks like you might be able to accomplish this by shooting a bit more from camera left. The background formation doesn't appear anywhere as tall. You'd also get the added bonus of seeing some of the depth of the stairs because you won't be looking directly at them, although the shadows on the upper stairs do give some feeling of depth.
