Its late, so I have no photos, just questions.
How do you make something, say, baby clothes, look small? I have no cribs or other baby things, so, Im at a loss. The photos I have taken, they look big, like my size. Its actually my baptism gowns, so are quite small. I'll post photos tomorrow. Thanks & good night! Or good morning, depending where you are. (Im punchy, night night )Deb |

I saw a famous photograph years ago called the greatest photograph depicting scale ever taken. In the image are two snow covered mountain peaks with a ridge running between them. An good image, well crafted and compositionally solid...and then you notice the people. There are five or six of them, in mountian climbing gear, walking along the ridge. While tiny, they are clearly visible and you are able to make out arms, legs and backpacks. What is impressive about these people, though, is their size in relation to the rest of the image. With the people in the image you suddenly realize how massively huge the mountain peaks are and how insignificant the people are. There is almost a sense of foolishness on the part of the people for taking on such a daunting challenge.
In your case, however, there is nothing daunting, but you do have a problem of scale. In the absence of something to compare it to, we assume any clothes we see are the size we normally wear. However, if you were to place something in the image whose size we are all familiar with, like a pacifier or rattle, I believe you would find that the item would quickly shrink to its real size. Give it a try and see if it doesn't work for you.

Thanks for your reply!
As I said last night, it is my baptism growns. I was about 2 months old. And my children are 19 & 23, so there is nothing around here baby-wise. No dolls, nothing that pertains to babies, except those gowns. Ill keep reading, after I wake up more, then post the photos I did take. Thanks!! Debbie |

I agree with the fellow above me. You have to add something to the photo that we can compare too. For example: If you go to verizon online, and look at their cell phones. They usually have the cell phone sitting next to a deck of cards so we can relate to the size.
