Default Where to Crop

I like this photo. I keep looking at it and I'm not sure where to crop. I've tried different ideas and I feel that I should have "not" centered the focal point.

Where should I crop and why?

Tulip

You have created a bit of a problem for yourself here. Your problem with cropping arises from the fact that you have 1 and 3/4 tulips in the shot. We really want to see the rest of that other tulip. If you crop out the second, slightly out of focus tulip, you are throwing out an awful lot of pixels. If, on the other hand, you leave it in, we certainly wish the closer tulip was in focus. So my suggestion would be to re-shoot this and fix these errors- you should find cropping much easier then.

Well, this is a very creative solution and it works pretty well. I still think we would prefer the closer bloom to be the one in sharpest focus, but this is a rather good solution just the same.

I just removed the out of focus 3/4 tulips in the shot and also stick to rule of thirds.

I like the square crop as well, though i'd make it so the flower is more in the lower right corner. For me, square photos are more a rule of quadrants, than thirds, but that may be my own taste
