We woudl love you and your followers to know about the first-ever Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year.

A unique set of global photography awards, the first-ever Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2012, is being launched today, Monday 22 August 2011.

Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2012 is a thrilling celebration of all that is special and significant about food photography in our culture, recognising the art as never before.

Open to professionals and amateurs alike across the world, with a prize of £5000 for the overall winner, the awards cover nine categories, ranging from Food in the Street, Food in the Field, Food for Sale, Food Portraiture and of course, a Young category.

The entries will be judged in March 2012 by a highly distinguished panel of experts, ranging from picture editors to publishers, retail directors, chefs and photographers. The winning images will be displayed at the world-renowned Mall Galleries, London SW1 in April 2012.
