"It’s no secret that the best photos come from the best equipment. And Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries are the world’s longest lasting AA battery in high-tech devices. They last up to 8x longer* in digital cameras, making up to 8x less waste** and making them perfect for capturing the perfect shot. "

1. Best photos come from best photographers
2. I have 6 cams - not a single one uses their batteries. Now that I think of it nothing I own uses their batteries.

"Winner must travel in 2012 on dates determined by Sponsor in it sole discretion or prize will be forfeited."

Nat Geo's ALWAYS have a ridiculous hitch. It is a wonder they are not charging people the normal $25-$35 to enter. When I first started reading them as a kid I was enchanted with pictures from all over the globe. Now I am a bit dis-enchanted with them.

Just sayin

They don't want to have to look at upside down photos...

Probably something to do with fair trade practices. They know you guys have all of the really cool stuff to photograph. Hell, shooting pics off the front porch will get you guys a winner in just about any competition.

you have to be from the US to enter.

and I DO use Energizer batteries in my speedlite, they've always been great. but yep, it's hokey that they put all that crap about the best equipment there, lol

Same thing happened to me. And I'm in the US. Strange.

Good luck Paul, they are both lovely shots. I like the contrast between the grey clouds and colourful sunset in the first shot. And that second had to be a shot in a million - lovely and clear too. Well done!

best of luck, Paul!! Loving that turtle... today was the first day our son's desert box turtle was seen since we started getting into the triple digits. I'm sure he wishes he was in that gorgeous water, wow!
