Default To Bridge or Not...That is the Question!

I took this photo on the weekend, and it was suggested to take the bridge out. I tend to be a bit of a purist, and like to keep scenes the way they were, but I took the bridge out to see what it would look like. Let me know which version you like as I want to enter one of these in a digital competition. If you want comment on my clone job, please feel free as I have not done a lot of it.

I like the second shot better however you missed the left most part of the bridge peeking out of the trees. If you want to use the bridge shot I would straighten the photo so that the bridge is not on an angle.

The 2nd one without the bridge distraction to me makes for a more attractive photo. If you want to use the first one then I agree it should be straighten. Is it possible to move the camera to a higher angle? The colors are great.

I agree, I think the second image is better. The bridge is a distraction.

I agree the one without the bridge is best. Also agree with the comment that it should be straightened if you intend to keep the bridge.

Nice clone job, Paul. I, too, like the second one. Awesome shot. The bridge is a bit disracting since it's only a portion. With it removed, I think you'll fare well in the competition. Good luck!! TFS

Paul, I agree with you and like both, however if I saw this in a competition I think I would vote for no. 2. Cheers, Bernz

Both shots are quite beautiful. I like the second best. Because the main shot is not the bridge, but rather, the water fall taken softly, I find the bridge a bit distracting in the first shot. You have done an excellent job with cloning.

I haven't been here for a while. I'm working on movies and trying to find an editor that I really like and want to purchase. Meanwhile my still photography has slacked off to near zero. Once I get set up with my videos, I'll get back to working with stills as well. Currently its a matter of a rather steep learning curve. It reminds me a bit of when I first started working with photoshop.
