Default Old fellow

Hi all

I'm new to digital-photography forums and to digital phot. in general.
Please critique my shot.
Taking pics of bicycles is my weakness.
I took this one couple of weeks ago, for some reason this bike reminds me of an old men and I felt like there is a whole story associated with it.
I wanted to enhance the feeling of”reminiscing about days long past” in this photo.
I tried the XProcessing method and a bit of vignetting.
Please tell me, did I succeed? Was the post processing over done?

I would also love to know, Last time I tried to upload, the image had a grey line through it and everything below that line was deformed. So I gave up.

There was a problem and am hoping its fixed. Want to come back and try uploading them again?
I also moved your post to comparison as the rest of the critique setion only permits one photo to be posted every 24 hours. If in question here are the guidelines

I think you did a nice job on it. While it's obviously PP'd, I think you definitely enhanced a mediocre subject and gave it a mood, which surely is the role of the process you selected. Was that a cropped version? As far as composition, I personally would have liked to see the subject more on the right of the frame with some dead space on the left...although it could just be me, given im a sucker for that type of composition, it also gives the bike "somewhere to go" ...i realise its not moving, and maybe i'm just justifying my own preference for composition

either way, nicely done. one of my favourite processes.

Thanks Niresangwa for your comments.
The image wasn't cropped.
I actually see what you're saying about leaving some place for the bike "to go" and I agree with you that it would be better.

I think the processed version is best. It wouldn't be my normal choice of processing but I think in this case it really adds something and has a more artistic feel.
