I prefer the closer crop. If it were my wedding or an event I attended, I might have more of an attachment to seeing the full glass, but I like the colors and lines in the closer crop, it has more of an abstract feel. Both are very nice and I do think if you can bring a bit more 'pop' to the image, it would be an improvement.

Do you prefer the first close crop as opposed to the second one? So it needs even more pop, huh? Okay. I'll work on it some more. The more I increase the levels and curves, the more grain it produces (especially in the bokeh). I can smooth it out some, but each time I do, it looses some depth. Do you know what I mean? Thanks so much!

I just wanted to say that my preference is still for the crop showing the entire glass but if I had to choose one of the closer crops than I would choose the 2nd close crop you posted (the one that you edited and posted again).

WOW, I love the first photo! The bokeh is really beautiful - seeing shots like this is just the reason I got myself a DSLR! =)

Don't crop it, you just lose so much beauty.

I personally like the first photo best. Not only do you see the entire glass and beautiful colors, but the reflection of the colors off of the table top. Wonderful photos!
