Hey! I can't decide if I like this headshot better in B&W or color... I fixed the color on photoshop, and converted to B&W- thats it.
EXIF- 112mm, 1/100 sec, f/5.6, ISO 200 Here are the links, as the files are too big: Color: Picasa Web Albums - phantom.of.the.ph... - 2009-11-24 B&W: Picasa Web Albums - phantom.of.the.ph... - Headshots 11-... |

While they are both very nice, I prefer the B&W. Is it possible you could "heal" her chapped/cracked bottom lip?

Great pictures. In this case, I prefer the color version, but I would tone down the red saturation around her eyes. And I agree with Lori about her bottom lip. It looks to me like that is a relatively simple fix.
Very nice job on these. I love the composition, pose, and the model's intensity.

I love it in black and white and I agree with trying to fix the lip a bit

I'm not sure what software you use for your post-processing, but those "instructions" would be for Photoshop CS3, or any version of Photoshop really. There may be a better or more efficient way of doing it, but that is where I would at least start. If someone has some other advice, hopefully they'll share it. EDIT: I just saw your last edit - the monochrome photo with the blue eyes. I think if you're going to go that route, then you should lighten the eyes to really make them pop; they're too dark as they stand right now, in my opinion. Also, I like your original crop more than the tighter one. Just my two cents.

I actually took the liberty (and about 5 minutes) to make the adjustments I mentioned in my previous post. See the attached picture. I think I desaturated the red channel to -25 or -30; I can't remember. I think it was -25, though. It's a subtle adjustment, but I think it looks a little more natural.
If you want a more detailed outline of how I did, let me know, and I'll tell you. Let me know what you think. Also, if you don't want the picture edited and posted here, tell me, and I will remove it.
