Hello,
I took this at a Halloween party a few weeks ago and the lighting was really bad so as I was adjusting my camera settings I took this photo and at first was going to trash it, but I love the expressions on the faces of the mother and daughter in the top left. ![]() I tried to adjust the photo in Photoshop with curves, levels and the exposure adjustments and then it looked really grainy so I added the Orton Effect on as well. I like it much better but I'm still not really happy with it... any suggestions on how to improve this shot, or should I just trash it all together? ![]() Thanks! ~ Rebecca ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feel free to edit and repost on DPS Flickr: RebeccaJoyJohnson's Photostream Last edited by RebeccaJoy; 11-17-2009 at 05:00 PM. |

Doing the Orton should have pretty much removed the grain. BUT, cropping down an image and then enlargig it will produce distortion.
Before you do anything do a noise removal step. Crop your image and try using several layers of using the unsharp mask. Do it little by little and it may help
