Default Hummingbirds

I took some hummingbird shots today. The original is below, and the heavily processed, artistic version is below it. I like the original, but does the PP really enhance the shot to appeal to the more artistic side of people? Thanks for your opinions.

Well I'm far from any kind of expert, but I think it looks awesome.

I like them both. The original is natural, and that serves one purpose. The second, artistic, serves another purpose. It depends upon use. BTW, the hummer is definitely in the right spot for this picture when you look at the background. This becomes especially apparent in the second photo. This is an excellent photo regardless of which version you look at.

Thanks, Thomas. Converting it to art is very subjective and has unlimited potential. Trying to figure out how to vary it is the fundamental question, and how to achieve universal appeal...but, I guess that's a thousands of year old problem. Thanks for the comments.
